"This course is designed to support operational leaders in developmental services to build and sustain high-performing teams that are grounded in organizational mission, vision, and values. Learners will begin by examining their own leadership style using the True Colors assessment to build self-awareness and understand how personality and preferences shape leadership decisions, communication, and performance management. The course also explores how leaders can translate organizational values into everyday team practices by intentionally shaping team environments, norms, and systems that motivate staff and support high-quality outcomes for the people they serve. Using scenario-based learning, leadership style frameworks, and insights from team dynamics research, learners will practice adapting their leadership approach to different team needs, performance challenges, and workplace contexts. The course also emphasizes cultural competency and inclusion, helping leaders recognize and respond to diversity within their teams and create welcoming"
