Full course description
This course provides an overview of best practices in safeguarding data, maintaining privacy, and mitigating security risks; such as password usage, social engineering, and encryption tools. Participants will learn to make informed decisions regarding the use of public or home Wi-Fi connectivity, with a focus on fostering a mindset that prioritizes awareness of potential risks. Participants will understand the potential risks and consequences of insecure connectivity.
Participants will engage in a blended learning approach, combining instructor-led presentations, and hands-on lab exercises. Through instructor- led sessions, participants will receive instruction on key concepts and practical techniques. The hands-on lab exercises will provide participants with valuable practical experience, reinforcing concepts and fostering a deeper understanding of the course material.
Courses will be presented in-person at Ontario Tech University's North Campus.
